Operate, manage and maintain the energy centre and district heating scheme.

Galliford Try Plc, the housebuilding and construction Group, announces that its renewables business has been awarded an ESCo (Energy Service Company) contract to operate, manage and maintain the energy centre and district heating scheme at the first major net zero carbon housing development in the UK at Graylingwell Park in West Sussex.

The ESCo is for a 25-year concession expected to generate total revenues of circa £18m.  Galliford Try has also been awarded an £8m contract to design and build the energy centre and district heating scheme. Work includes the mechanical and electrical fit-out of the centre and installation of associated cabling and heating mains.

Graylingwell Park is a mixed use development being built by the Linden Downland Graylingwell LLP – a joint venture between Galliford Try and affordable housing provider Affinity Sutton for the Homes and Communities Agency.

Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, commented:

“We have a growing business in renewable energy provision and securing this contract for the long term supply to Graylingwell Park demonstrates our capability in this growth market.”
